What is included in a laptop AMC contract?+

A Techvity AMC bundles preventive maintenance visits, software hygiene, OS reimaging, hardware diagnostics and break-fix labour for one calendar year. Parts inclusion depends on tier - Essential is labour-only, Pro adds consumables like keyboards and batteries, Enterprise covers screens and motherboards subject to fair-wear policy.

What is your onsite response SLA in Bangalore and other cities?+

P1 critical tickets receive 4-hour onsite response in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai. P2 next-business-day onsite for tier-1 cities; remote resolution within 4 hours. P3 best-effort within 48 hours. Tier-2 city SLAs are extended by one business day.

How does AMC compare with break-fix and DaaS?+

Break-fix is per-incident billing - lowest commitment, highest variability. AMC is a fixed annual fee with predictable budget and faster response. DaaS bundles the device, AMC and refresh into a single monthly OPEX line. Most Indian SMBs and mid-market enterprises pick AMC; growth-stage startups prefer DaaS.

Is the AMC fee subject to GST and is it tax-deductible?+

Yes. AMC is a service under HSN 998713, charged at 18% GST. Your business claims full input tax credit and the entire fee is deductible as an operating expense in the year it is paid, with no depreciation schedule required.

Can we add or remove laptops mid-contract?+

Yes. Additions are billed pro-rata from the date of inclusion. Removals are credited pro-rata if devices are returned, sold or written off. We re-issue an updated asset register at the end of every quarter so finance and IT stay aligned.

Do you cover MacBooks under AMC?+

Yes. We service MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini fleets. Apple parts are sourced from authorised channels under our Pro and Enterprise tiers. Logic-board and Liquid Retina display replacement is supported with Apple-certified technicians.

What is the minimum fleet size for AMC?+

Minimum 10 devices for Essential tier, 5 devices for Pro and Enterprise tiers given their higher per-device value. There is no upper limit. Our largest active AMC contract covers 2400 devices spread across 14 Indian cities.

How do you handle parts during AMC repairs?+

Pro and Enterprise tiers include common consumables - keyboards, batteries, chargers, RAM, SSDs - drawn from our Bangalore warehouse with 24-hour internal shipping to onsite engineers. Specialised parts such as displays and motherboards are quoted upfront with OEM-backed warranty.
