Find your Asus serial number

The model name and the serial number (S/N) are on the label under the laptop and on the box. The MyASUS app shows them too. Send them with a description of the fault.

Gaming laptops: heat and power

ROG and TUF laptops fit a powerful processor and graphics card into a small case, so heat and power are where many problems start. If yours shuts down, slows sharply or gets very loud in games, tell us when it happens: at start-up, while charging, or only under load.

Use the charger that came with it. A gaming laptop needs its full-wattage adapter; a smaller one may not keep it running under load.

Check the warranty on the Asus website with the serial number. If it is still covered, contact Asus first, as an independent repair may affect that cover.
