Find your HP's product number

HP labels each laptop with a product number and a serial number, printed underneath or, on older models, inside the battery bay. On many HP laptops, pressing Fn and Esc together opens a System Information window that shows both. Send them to us with the problem.

Check your HP warranty first

HP lets you check a laptop's warranty status online with its serial number. If it is still covered, go to HP first, because an independent repair may affect that cover. Out of warranty, bring it to us and the diagnosis is free.

Before you bring your HP in

Note whether the caps lock or power light blinks when the laptop fails to start: HP uses blink patterns to signal some hardware faults.
On an Envy or Spectre convertible, tell us whether the touchscreen or the pen has stopped working as well as the display.
Bring the charger: a charging fault can sit in the charger, the cable or the laptop's port.
Back up your files if the laptop still starts.

Yes. WhatsApp your address, the product number and the problem, and we confirm a pickup time. You can also walk in to our Koramangala centre: every day, 9:30 AM – 9:30 PM.
