Desktops we repair

Branded desktops: office towers and small-form-factor PCs from Dell (OptiPlex, Vostro), HP (ProDesk, EliteDesk), Lenovo (ThinkCentre) and other brands. Some use brand-specific power supplies and boards, so we check parts before quoting.
Assembled PCs: custom-built towers with standard parts, whatever the motherboard, processor or graphics card. Standard parts make many repairs and upgrades simple.
All-in-one PCs: the screen and the computer in one body. Parts are packed tightly behind the display, so these are opened with care and quoted model by model.
Workstations: high-end towers for design, engineering and data work, such as Dell Precision, HP Z and Lenovo ThinkStation, with the same care for their graphics cards and storage.

Before you bring a desktop in

For a tower, bring only the tower, unless the problem seems to be in the monitor, keyboard or mouse.
Write down any beeps, lights or error messages at start-up: they point straight to the fault.
Back up your files if the PC still starts.
For an assembled PC, note the motherboard model if you know it, and keep the original box of parts still under their own warranty.
If the PC was working until a power cut or a storm, tell us: it often points to the power supply.

Repair it, or replace it?

When a repair would cost close to what the PC is worth, we tell you so after the diagnosis. Companies replacing old desktops can sell them to us through our IT equipment buyback, and new seats can be rented instead of bought.

Do you repair assembled PCs?

Yes. We repair custom-built desktops as well as branded ones. Standard parts often make assembled PCs easier to repair and upgrade.

Do you repair all-in-one PCs?

Yes, including screen, backlight and board faults. All-in-ones are quoted model by model after the free diagnosis.

Do you repair workstations?

Yes: Dell Precision, HP Z, Lenovo ThinkStation and similar towers, including chip-level board repair.

Can you come to my home to repair the desktop?

For homes we arrange a pickup and bring the PC back after the repair. On-site visits are for offices in Bangalore.

Can you recover the files from a desktop that will not start?

Often, yes. If the drive itself still works, the files can usually be copied off. Tell us it is urgent and we check the drive first.
