The M1 or the 2017 MacBook Air?
- MacBook Air M1: Apple's own chip, silent because it has no fan, with long battery life and a current macOS, so it runs today's apps. It charges over USB-C and drives one external monitor.
- MacBook Air 2017: an Intel model with more storage (see the table). It runs macOS Monterey, which handles browsing, documents, email and video calls; apps that need a newer macOS will not install on it.
- Ports: the 2017 Air has USB-A ports and an SD card slot; the M1 has two USB-C (Thunderbolt) ports, so bring an adapter for USB-A drives or an HDMI screen.
Renting as a person or as a company
Individuals rent one MacBook per person. You will need photo ID and address proof (the originals are checked at collection), a refundable deposit and payment upfront.
Companies can rent several on a GST invoice, billed monthly. We serve companies across India and individuals in Bangalore.
Handing it back
- Copy your files off the MacBook before you return it.
- Sign out of your Apple ID and iCloud and turn off Find My, so the MacBook is not locked to your account.
- Every returned laptop is wiped and macOS is reinstalled before the next rental.

Can I rent a MacBook Pro?
The MacBooks on our catalogue are the MacBook Air models above. If you need a MacBook Pro or a newer model, ask us before you book; we confirm what we can supply before you pay.
Can I rent a MacBook for a single day?
Yes. MacBooks can be rented by the day, the week or the month, and we confirm the price for your dates in writing.
Will my apps run on a rented MacBook?
The M1 runs a current version of macOS. The 2017 MacBook Air runs macOS Monterey, so check the minimum macOS version your apps need before you choose it.
Can I extend a MacBook rental?
Yes. Tell us before the rental period ends and we will extend it.
