The visit schedule, what is covered and how parts are charged are written into the contract before it starts.
What a preventive-maintenance visit includes
- Internal cleaning of each machine: fans, heatsinks, vents and power supply intake.
- Thermal paste replaced where temperatures show it is needed.
- Drive health checked, so failing drives are replaced before they lose data.
- Fans, power supplies and UPS batteries checked for wear.
- Operating-system updates and antivirus status checked.
- Cables, keyboards, mice and monitors checked.
- A visit summary listing each machine and anything that needs attention.
