Find your Dell's Service Tag

Dell identifies every laptop by its Service Tag, a seven-character code on the label under the laptop, also shown on the BIOS setup screen. Send it to us with a photo of the fault: it tells us the exact model and configuration before we quote.

Still under Dell's warranty?

If your laptop is still covered by Dell's warranty or an extended Dell plan, contact Dell first: repair work by an independent centre may affect that cover. Once it is out of warranty, bring it to us for a free diagnosis.

Tell us this when you book

Whether the laptop powers on at all, and whether the charging light comes on.
If the battery looks swollen or the touchpad has lifted, stop using the laptop and do not charge it. Bring it in.
For a cracked screen, whether a picture still shows and whether your model has a touchscreen.
Anything that happened just before the fault: a drop, a spill or a software update.
