Find your Lenovo's machine type

Lenovo identifies a laptop by its machine type and model (MTM) and its serial number, printed on the label underneath. The Lenovo Vantage app shows them too. Send them with a photo of the fault, so we know the exact model before we quote.

ThinkPads and Yoga convertibles

Most ThinkPads from recent years charge through Lenovo's rectangular tip or over USB-C. If a ThinkPad is not charging, bring the charger too: the fault can be in the charger, the port or the board.

On a Yoga the display is a touch panel and the hinge turns a full 360 degrees, so a screen or hinge repair is quoted for that exact assembly.
