Surface ranges we repair
- Surface Pro: A tablet with a built-in kickstand; its keyboard is a separate Type Cover that clips on magnetically.
- Surface Go: The smallest Surface tablet, also with a kickstand and a clip-on keyboard.
- Surface Laptop and Laptop Go: Microsoft's clamshell laptops, with the keyboard built in.
- Surface Book: A laptop whose screen detaches from the keyboard base to become a tablet.
- Surface Laptop Studio: A laptop whose screen pulls forward over the keyboard, for drawing and design work.
Find your Surface's serial number
Microsoft prints the serial number on the device itself: on a Surface Pro or Surface Go it is under the kickstand, and on a Surface Laptop it is on the underside. If the Surface still starts, the Surface app shows the model and the serial number too. Send both with a short description of the fault.
Why Surface repairs are quoted model by model
Many Surface devices are held together with adhesive rather than screws, and on most models the display is bonded to the glass. Opening one takes care, so a screen or battery job is quoted for your exact model after the free diagnosis.
Most Surface models charge through Microsoft's magnetic Surface Connect port, and newer ones can also charge over USB-C. If yours has stopped charging, bring the power supply too: the fault can sit in the charger, the connector or the device.
Before you bring your Surface in
- Keyboard not responding on a Surface Pro or Surface Go? Clip the Type Cover onto another Surface, or another cover onto yours, if you can: the fault may be in the cover rather than the tablet.
- Tell us whether touch and the Surface Pen still work, not only whether the picture shows.
- If it is still under Microsoft's warranty or a Microsoft protection plan, check with Microsoft first; an independent repair may affect that cover.
- Back up your files if the Surface still starts.

My Type Cover keyboard stopped working. Is it the Surface?
It can be the cover, the connector it clips onto, or the Surface itself. Bring both; the free diagnosis shows which part has failed and you get a quote for it.
Can you collect my Surface for repair?
Yes. WhatsApp your address, the serial number and the problem, and we confirm a pickup time. You can also walk in to our Koramangala centre: every day, 9:30 AM – 9:30 PM.
Is there a warranty on a Surface repair?
Yes: 1 month on the repair we carry out.
